Frequently Asked Questions
Does it cost anything to do design work?
Not at all! I’m always happy to talk to anyone about starting a custom piece. All designs created belong to me, but I don’t charge for drawings and revisions. I want your piece to be exactly what you want, and how will we know unless I draw it up?
What is your refund policy?
For custom pieces, my refund policy is 50% of the purchase price. Before I start creating your custom piece, I ask for a non-refundable deposit of 50%. This covers a portion of my costs that I will put in during the forging and creation process. It is non-refundable, because I cannot recoup those costs otherwise. I will then send you photos of the work in progress as I go along so we can make sure the piece is coming out like you expect. Before I send you your finished piece, I will send you photos of the finished product for your approval. Then you will pay the rest of the purchase price we agreed upon, and I will mail it to you. If- heaven forbid- it arrives and you it’s not what you wanted, you will return it to me, and I will refund the 50% of the purchase price.
What materials do you work with?
I forge sterling silver, argentium silver, fine silver, 14k gold, 18k gold, and 22k gold. I do not work in platinum at this time.
Can I have GIA grading reports for my gemstones?
Certainly! There is an extra cost per stone, but you can have any grading report that I can order.
